Hiking and skiing in the Dolomites
How to reach Residence Elisa and what to do in Colfosco, in the heart of Alta Badia
From our apartments you can enjoy superb views of the Ladin Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To the south stands the imposing Sella massif, around which the five Ladin valleys branch out. To the north the steep Sassongher mountain rises out of gentle meadows and lush forests, looming over the vastness of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park.
The house lies in a tranquil and panoramic location between Corvara and Colfosco, next to the Camping Colfosco camping ground. Close to the house you will find the animal park and the adventure park. 250 m from the house there is the ski-pass office and the Sodlisia lift, part of the Sellaronda panoramic ski tour. From here you can directly reach and ski on hundreds of kilometres of ski runs in the Alta Badia and Dolomiti Superski ski areas. The Ski and Snowboard School Colfosco is located within walking distance from the lift.
The centre of Colfosco is 500 m apart from Residence Elisa. You can easily reach it by walking on the trail that crosses the animal park.
Alta Badia is within easy reach from the rest of Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. From the A22 Brenner motorway, take the exit Brixen – Pustertal, then follow the SS49 main road through the Pustertal valley until the fork for Val Badia in St. Lorenzen. Here, turn towards Val Badia. Follow the SS244 until Corvara. At the intersection head towards Colfosco. 1 km after Corvara there is a fork for the Camping Colfosco camping ground. Proceed on the main road for 300 m until you find a narrow road on the left which descends to Residence Elisa.
